Prom dresses are going fast!

Good Morning! I cannot believe it has been so long since I have written! Where does the time go? Things at the shop have been wonderful and challenging all at the same time. We had a wonderful though frightening bombshell drop on us a couple of weeks ago which is probably why I haven't written in awhile. We are going to be doing a large fashion show at the Richmond Mall on Feb. 27th that is sponsored by Kix 96. When God drops an opportunity like this is your lap, it is best not to ignore it. We have been fitting models like crazy!

Prom season is upon us - at least the prom dress shopping season. We are so blessed to have found a distributor that provides us the best designer names at prices we can all afford. Our dress collection has grown dramatically but dresses are flying out the door almost as fast as I can get new ones ordered! That is a good thing. We have come to love each and everyone of our prom girls. To be perfectly honest, this age group frightened me in the beginning but as more and more of them become "Unique Boutique" girls, my appreciation and love for them just grows and grows. I also didn't think I could ever think any dress could be as beautiful as a wedding gown. Now I am rethinking that position. These dresses are so beautiful! The colors are spectacular as are the rich designs. I love them! I am so thankful I let Kevin and Hannah talk me into entering this arena.

The weather has posed some challenges for us. We have been snowed out of the shop for a total of about 10 days during December, January and so far in February. The ice storm we just experienced has made getting into town difficult. Yesterday we finally just had to risk it and get out of the house. Greenfield wasn't bad at all. It was a good thing we went in. The prom girls are all out of school and they needed to get out of their homes as well. We had girls in all day. It was so much fun! We are looking forward to another exciting day.

Besides that, we are involved in the more awful parts of running a small business: preparing the taxes and working up ads for our advertising campaign. Yuck! - especially the taxes part. Luckily, it will soon be completed for another year! Yea! The really good thing is that Hannah has put into place some wonderful organizing systems so everything is so much easier now. I have much to be thankful for.

Talk to you soon.
Suzy
